1. About us
This website is operated by SONARD Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number [COMPANY NUMBER], with its registered office at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS].
You can contact us by email at orders@sonard.co.uk or by phone on 07568747803.
SONARD Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on our prices.
2. These terms
These terms apply to every order you place on sonard.co.uk. Please read them before ordering, together with our Cancellation & Refunds Policy and Privacy Policy. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
We sell to consumers in the United Kingdom only. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
3. Pre-orders and pre-order windows
3.1 Our products are sold on a pre-order basis. This means we don't hold the items in stock when you order. We order them from our supplier and make them available for collection when they arrive.
3.2 Products are sold in pre-order windows. Each window has a closing date and an estimated arrival date, both shown on the product page before you order. Arrival dates are estimates based on information from our suppliers. We'll keep you updated if they change (see section 8).
3.3 Each basket can contain items from one pre-order window only.
4. Placing an order
4.1 Once you complete payment, you'll receive an order confirmation email. The contract between you and us is formed when we send that email.
4.2 If we can't accept your order (for example, because of a pricing error or the window has closed), we'll tell you and refund anything you have paid in full.
5. Prices and payment
5.1 All prices are in pounds sterling (£). The price of each item and the total price are shown before you pay. The price you pay is fixed when you order, even if our prices change later. We don't charge any extra fees for paying by card.
5.2 Deposit option. Each product has a fixed deposit, shown on the product page. If you choose to pay a deposit:
- (a) you pay the total of the deposits for your items when you order;
- (b) the remaining balance (shown at checkout and in your confirmation email) is charged when all of the items in your order have arrived;
- (c) by choosing the deposit option you authorise SONARD Ltd to charge the remaining balance to the card you used at checkout when your order arrives. Our payment provider, Stripe, stores your card securely. We never see or store your full card number;
- (d) you can pay your balance early at any time from your order page.
5.3 Pay-in-full option. Where a pre-order window allows it, you can pay the full price when you order instead. No further payment will be taken.
5.4 If a balance payment fails, we (and our payment provider) will email you a secure link to complete payment, and may retry the card. If the balance is still unpaid after 14 days, we'll contact you. If it remains unpaid, we may cancel your order and refund what you have paid. We won't release items for collection until they're paid in full.
6. Discount codes
6.1 From time to time we may offer discount codes. Each code is subject to the conditions stated when it's issued (such as expiry dates, eligible products and minimum spend). Only one discount code can be used per order.
6.2 If you pay a deposit, the discount is taken off your remaining balance first.
6.3 If you cancel part of an order, you'll be refunded the amount you actually paid for the cancelled items, after the discount.
7. Club cashback
7.1 At checkout you can choose to support an affiliated cricket club from our published club register. Choosing a club is optional and doesn't change the price you pay.
7.2 SONARD Ltd pays cashback to the selected club under the Club Cashback Scheme. You won't receive any payment or benefit yourself.
7.3 Please check you have chosen the right club. If you've made a mistake, email orders@sonard.co.uk as soon as possible and we'll correct it, provided the cashback hasn't yet been finalised.
8. Delays
8.1 If the estimated arrival date for your order changes, we'll email you with the new estimated date.
8.2 You can cancel your order at any time before collection and receive a full refund of everything you have paid (see section 11). This includes cancelling because of a delay.
8.3 If we have agreed a firm date with you and we miss it, you also have the rights set out in the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. If we can't supply an item
If an item becomes unavailable (for example, our supplier discontinues it), we'll tell you as soon as possible and refund everything you have paid for that item. We may offer an alternative, but we'll only supply it if you agree. The rest of your order will go ahead as normal, unless you choose to cancel it.
10. Collection
10.1 All orders are collection only from Rodley Cricket Club Canal Bank Sports Ground Moss Bridge Road Rodley, Leeds Yorkshire LS13 1RL. We don't deliver.
10.2 When your order has arrived and is paid in full, we'll email you to say it's ready, together with our published collection times. Please bring your order number or the QR code from that email.
10.3 Someone else may collect on your behalf if they bring your order number or QR code and your name. You're responsible for anyone you send to collect.
10.4 Ownership of, and responsibility for, the goods passes to you when they're collected.
11. Your right to cancel
11.1 Before collection you can cancel all or part of your order at any time, for any reason.
11.2 After collection you have 14 days from the day the goods are collected to cancel, for any reason.
11.3 To cancel, tell us clearly by emailing orders@sonard.co.uk with your order number, or by using the model cancellation form in our Cancellation & Refunds Policy. You don't have to use the form.
11.4 If you cancel after collection, you must return the goods to Rodley Cricket Club Canal Bank Sports Ground Moss Bridge Road Rodley, Leeds Yorkshire LS13 1RL (or send them to us at your own cost) within 14 days of telling us you're cancelling.
11.5 We'll refund everything you have paid, including any deposit, using the card you paid with:
- (a) if you cancel before collection, within 14 days of you telling us;
- (b) if you cancel after collection, within 14 days of us receiving the goods back (or evidence that you have sent them).
11.6 You may handle the goods as you would in a shop to check them. If they come back handled more than that (for example, a bat that has been knocked in or used), we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.
12. Faulty or incorrect goods
12.1 Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they aren't, you're entitled to a remedy. Within 30 days of collection you can reject faulty goods for a full refund. After that you can ask for a repair or replacement, and if that doesn't work, a refund or price reduction.
12.2 Please contact orders@sonard.co.uk if there's a problem with your goods.
12.3 Normal wear and tear, misuse, and not following care instructions (such as the knocking-in and oiling instructions for bats) aren't faults.
13. Our responsibility to you
13.1 We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We aren't responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable.
13.2 We don't exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for breach of your legal rights in relation to the goods.
13.3 We only supply products for domestic and private use. We aren't responsible for any loss of profit, business or business opportunity.
14. Events outside our control
We aren't responsible for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. If such an event affects your order, we'll contact you and you may cancel for a full refund.
15. Your personal information
We use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.
16. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please email orders@sonard.co.uk. We aim to respond within [5] working days.
17. General
17.1 We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one on our website when you placed it.
17.2 If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will still apply.
17.3 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
